Craig and Michelle got engaged this past October on the shoreline of Chatham Bars Inn in Chatham, Massachusetts. Based on Michelle’s love for Cape Cod and what he’d heard about this beautiful resort, Craig knew it would be the perfect weekend getaway and the perfect place to propose.
When Craig asked me to capture this moment, I could feel the excitement in his voice, and it was definitely matched by the excitement in mine.
We planned to connect just before sunset, where I would be hiding down at the beach.
Fun fact – I actually brought my mom so I would look like a “real” resort guest, mitigating any risk of Michelle spotting me with cameras! She was pretty excited to watch me in action – and even got to help stage the proposal! She gets total artist credit for the pebble heart we made in the sand (so Craig would know where to stop). Nicely done, Mom! 🙂
Following their proposal, the newly engaged couple enjoyed an intimate dinner at the Impudent Oyster, followed by one more surprise. Craig had arranged for their closest friends and family to gather at the infamous Chatham Squire, to celebrate for the rest of the night.
Congratulations Craig and Michelle!
