On a beautiful sunny day, Kaleigh and Ian had a stunning Wychmere Beach Club Wedding on Cape Cod! It was the perfect start to my wedding season and the gorgeous summer weather. I was so excited to photograph their wedding at this stunning wedding venue and work alongside their wedding planner, Cape Cod Celebrations!
Ian and Kaleigh’s love story began back when they were in high school. While she had just moved states and into the same neighborhood he lived in, they met at the bus stop their sophomore year. Despite creating a great bond, they parted ways to attend college. In the end, both of them made their way to Boston, where they decided to make things official!
A few weeks before their wedding, the three of us met up in Boston so we could take their engagement photos. It was a great opportunity for us to get to know one another before their wedding day and helped them feel more comfortable in front of the camera. We shared several laughs and it felt like we’d known each other for years. Here are just a few of my favorites from their Boston engagement photos!
Since Cape Cod holds a special place in their hearts, Wychmere Beach Club was the perfect venue for their wedding! Kaleigh grew up vacationing at her family home here, and it’s also where Ian proposed. Wychmere Beach Club is one of the best wedding venues on the outer Cape! With its stunning views and waterfront location right on Wychmere Harbor, there are endless options for wedding photos. Bringing décor and rentals into this space allows couples to transform it into their ideal event space.
Kaleigh and her bridesmaids got ready at The Mooring rental house the morning of the wedding. This house is located on Main Street in Harwich Port and has a historic charm. The beautiful architecture and spacious farmer’s porch made for dreamy portraits. The dress Kaleigh chose from Grace Loves Lace was perfectly fitting for her style. Her niece’s dress also came from the same designer, and as you might imagine, she was so excited match the bride! Kaleigh’s grandmother also traveled from out of state to see her granddaughter walk down the aisle. They were able to share a few quiet moments together before the wedding day began, which meant the world to Kaleigh and her family.
Once Ian and Kaleigh were ready for one of the most exciting days of their lives, they shared a first look on the Wychmere dock. With a mix of tears and laughter, they soaked in the moment. Their ceremony followed on the Hydrangea Lawn that had waterfront views. After they said their “I do’s,” we walked on the beach for some newlywed portraits! I always recommend taking wedding photos at the beach, if possible.
With floor to ceiling windows overlooking the harbor, The Harbor Room is a fitting name for their reception space! They chose a coastal farmhouse theme, and their decor vision came to life beautifully. I loved how simple yet elegant everything looked! All the details were really thought out, from naming each table after a town on Cape Cod and farm tables to the gorgeous floral arrangements! A room reveal was held before Ian and Kaleigh’s guests were invited into the space, and they were overjoyed to see how all their inspiration became a reality.
It was a wonderful evening for the newlyweds, spent with family and friends. Several speeches were made at the reception, including a special one from Kaleigh’s father. The celebration continued with dancing, cake and a colorful sunset!
It was an honor to photograph this stunning wedding day for Ian and Kaleigh! Cape Cod Celebrations worked their magic, and every single detail was beautiful! Congratulations to the newlyweds!
