Cape Cod Celebrations planned the most whimsical Hyannisport Club Wedding for California couple Liam and Melodie!

A shared interest in playing Blizzard games led to their online relationship. They got engaged at a bungalow in the Santa Monica Mountains of California while their adorable Corgi, Winston, was with them. While enjoying a picnic and watching the sunset, Liam proposed to Melodie as the sky turned a beautiful shade of neon orange. As they live in California, we hadn’t met before their wedding day, but as soon as we started talking, it felt like old friends hanging out! Disney was a considerable interest that we all shared.

In my opinion, fall is the best time of year for a Cape Cod wedding. Melodie and Liam’s big day couldn’t have been more perfect, with temperatures in the mid-60s. My approach to photographing weddings begins by capturing smaller details important to the couple. Melodie’s sneakers were a highlight, a special edition design by PUMA and Nintendo. Figures from Nintendo’s Animal Crossing game were on the sneakers. These shoes infused her love of gaming into her wedding attire and were also very comfortable!

They married at St. Andrews by the Sea in Hyannis Port, the perfect church for their ceremony. In addition to being an iconic fixture in Hyannis Port, this church is also the highest point on the Cape. The Reverand, who married Melodie and Liam, has known Liam since he was a kindergartner. Since then, he has been part of the family, and his trip across the country for the wedding was such an honor for them.

Wedding Reception in Cape Cod at Hyannisport Club

An impressive sunset spread across Nantucket Sound as guests enjoyed cocktail hour listening to an Irish band. A feel of an enchanted forest permeated Liam and Melodie’s wedding reception at Hyannisport Club. With whimsical, colorful, and magnificent floral statements, Beach Plum Floral did an outstanding job designing the space. The venue had illuminated trees, but the most heroic one could be found in the cocktail area. Each place setting included a maple syrup bottle honoring Melodie’s home in Quebec, Canada.

Winston, their beloved Corgi, was unable to attend the wedding, but his presence was included in the little details, such as signature drinks named after him, swizzle sticks, and cocktail napkins. Their wedding cake even had a cute Corgi figure!

As the newlyweds celebrated their new marriage, there was a sense of family, love, and joy throughout the evening. As they entered this next chapter of their lives, they were welcomed warmly by their loved ones, who traveled from near and far!
