Liz and Anthony’s Wianno Club wedding on Cape Cod was a remarkable celebration despite the chilly weather and heavy rain. Despite the less-than-ideal conditions, their day exuded a timeless elegance that perfectly matched their classy chic aesthetic. As their Cape Cod wedding photographer, it was particularly meaningful for me to document their wedding, as it coincided with the same weekend I said “I do” in 2014 at Chatham Bars Inn, and with a similar weather forecast!
Their connection developed immediately when they met in college. They have an adorable love story, and Anthony proposed while they were in Napa, California. A few iconic Boston locations served as the backdrop for the engagement photos I photographed.

Liz and her family enjoyed vacations in Osterville in her childhood, and the Wianno Club always caught their eye. As her parents recently became members, they thought it would make the perfect venue for their wedding. This was my first time photographing a wedding at Wianno Club, so I was thrilled to capture their special day. This Cape Cod wedding venue has a charming atmosphere while overlooking Nantucket Sound. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to enjoy the wonderful landscape or oceanfront because of the torrential downpours. However, the interior architecture and aesthetic of the historic clubhouse offered a beautiful setting for indoor wedding portraits. A covered patio along the ocean bluff and the spacious front porch allowed us to capture formal portraits outdoors while staying protected from the rain and wind.
“We had the pleasure of Michelle doing both our engagement and wedding photos. My husband and I are what you would consider “camera shy.” Michelle was able to loosen us up and keep us relaxed and got us some amazing shots!! At the wedding, we really wanted to focus more on experiencing the day – Michelle totally followed our lead and was able to capture all of our special moments while still allowing us to really enjoy today! I would absolutely recommend booking Michelle!”
Liz’s wedding attire was a tribute to timeless love and cherished family traditions. Her beauty radiated while she walked down the aisle wearing her mother’s treasured wedding dress and accessories. Witnessing Liz in a garment that holds decades of love was heartwarming.
After sharing a first look between the two of them and doing a few portraits inside, they were officially ready to say, “I do.” Their Wianno Club wedding ceremony was held indoors and beautifully set up with incredible floral statements. It was a lovely ceremony with all of their loved ones present. Afterward, the celebration moved outside underneath the sailcloth tent. With the dim lighting, the string lights and candles gave a romantic glow. It looked purely magical. It’s always fun capturing the heartfelt moments, infectious laughter, and dancing that fill the air with joyful energy. The dance floor was packed all night, thanks to the sounds of the Redline Band.
Considering the weather conditions, Liz, Anthony, and their families were so relaxed. Everyone was so happy to be together and celebrate the newlyweds. With the help of the staff at Wianno Club, we were able to make their dream wedding a reality. This venue is fascinating, but its staff goes above and beyond.
Congratulations to this beautiful couple! It was so great capturing your big day’s precious memories. Enjoy scrolling through some of my favorites from their Wianno Club wedding on Cape Cod!
